Week 56 & 57

Hey guys!

Sorry there was no email last week...

Monday we had our Zone Christmas Party in Jamaica and we also had our Zone Conference and interviews. It was one crazy week last week and it rolled into this week. We had an amazing party with all the missionaries in our zone which includes Cayman Islands, Freeport, and Turks and Caicos. We had activities and food and singing. It was a blast!

Tuesday we flew back to Nassau and in the Miami Airport we ate Taco Bell!!! Highlight of the whole trip! When we got back to Nassau Elder Markwalter and I took the rest of the day to go shopping and unpacking from our trip. Then we went to the Caves.

Wednesday we did a lot of Office Elder Stuff like taking the Silver car to get Estimates for being hit. We had most of the day planned to call people too because a lot of people thought that we weren't coming back until after Christmas.

Thursday morning we had District Leader Training meeting with Elder Houston. We tried to see Samantha afterwards but we weren't able to find a brother to go with us. Not a whole lot happened day either sadly. So we made a bunch of phone calls then too.

Friday was Weekly Planning and we went all out for it. We bought Hot chocolate, kettle corn, chips; it was a blast! We had to run to Cariloha to meet our Branch President to get some money from him to pay the guy that washes our car too. We then tried to see Nicolas but he wasn't home. We got a call from Sister Kemp and she told us that there was an inactive member in Kelly's that wanted another Book of Mormon so we ran in looking for him. We then had to run back to the church for a baptismal interview for the Freeport Elders. I had to do the interview because Elder Houston wasn't available.Afterwards we went contacting.

Saturday morning we went to see Omar and His baby momma but they were just headed out for work so we weren't able to sit down with them. We then went and caught Kenton at home! We finally got him and it was a good amount of pressure that was removed from my chest after that! I have missed that guy so much! I have never felt so much for an investigator as I have for him. We went to get lunch after him and then went to see Nicolas again. We talked about the Holy Ghost. We kept it short because we had to go contacting. We hen tried to go see Kenton again but he wasn't home.

Sunday morning was church and we had no investigators there... Slow day... We then went to the Ferdinand's for lunch then to the Sinea's and acted out David and Goliath with Brother Sinea being Goliath. It was so fun to see all the Little kids get into the lesson and to see Brother Sinea get into teaching the kids! It was a blast! We then went contacting for the rest of the night and tried to catch Kenton at home but he wasn't there.

I am truly grateful for the Holiday Season because every one is always thinking of our Savior. I love Christmas so much! Even though I don't get snow for these two Christmas' I still love the feeling of giving! I hope every one has a great Christmas! I get to Skype my Family!!!! Love you guys!

Week 55

Hey guys!!

So this week was crazy weird haha but it was a blast!

Monday we picked up my new companion after dropping my old one off to send him back to Jamaica. Elder Christensen and I went and Said goodbye to some members before he left on Tuesday!

Tuesday was spent most of the morning planning out our day. We had to take Elder Christensen to the Airport to send him back to Jamaica. We had a hard time with the purchase card but eventually got everything taken care of. We then went to purchase bottled water because we can't drink tap water here. Tried to see Kenton but he is ducking us right now soooo... We then went to the Seawell's for dinner and had Mexican food. We then went home to call a lot of people to set up the rest of our week.

Wednesday was my first District Meeting as a Zone Leader so it was really interesting and nerve racking! Elder Markwalter and I talked about building a Dynasty in our areas with the members. Just about how we should build a relationship with members before asking for referrals from them because that makes it easier for us as missionaries to find people to teach through members! We then went to Immigration to check on the permits for other missionaries, had lunch, then went to go see Nicolas. He was Elder Christensen's investigator. We talked about the Baptismal Interview Questions. He is going to be baptized tomorrow actually! We went to the Blair's as well to share a spiritual thought with them and got to know the boys really well.

Thursday morning we did service for Brother Lucito again. We spent most of the morning there. Then we had our appointment fall through so we took studies then went to see an investigator that moved here from Jamaica. She was being taught by the Elders in Spanish Town. She is also preparing to be baptized soon. Like in the next couple of weeks. Had an awesome lesson with her about the Baptismal Questions as well. Then we went to see Noelda. We were gonna talk about the Gospel of Jesus Christ but ended up talking about baptism. She isn't quite ready for that but soon she will be!

Friday we had Weekly Planning. We then went back to Immigration because they told us to go back on Friday so we did. We then had another lesson with Nicolas over the questions again and taught him the Law of Chastity, Law of Tithing, and the Word of Wisdom. We then had dinner with the Romer's. We had pizza! I love pizza!

Saturday morning was spent calling and reminding people about church and driving around looking for an auto body place to fix the Silver car that we have. We then saw Nicolas again. We read a chapter with him out of the Book of Mormon. We then went to the church to set up for a Christmas Fireside but no one showed up so we cleaned the church for Sunday.

Sunday was fast and testimony meeting and I, of course, got up and bore my testimony. I haven't missed a Sunday yet! It was nice to hear Brother Lucito bare his testimony on the missionaries going over and chopping the bushes in his back yard that is like a forest now! Anyways, we went to the Ferdinand's for Lunch, then went to see Nicolas for his baptismal interview! Before we had his interview we talked to this lady that lives in the same yard as he does and talked about the Sacrament with the both of them. She had a lot of questions and seemed very interested in learning more so we gave her a Book of Mormon. We then went to the Sinea's and had a cool Family Home Evening with them. It was pretty funny too! We then went to the church to watch the Christmas Devotional.

I love this time of year! I hope that every one is thinking of ways that you can #LightTheWorld. I Know this is the best time of the year to Share the Gospel with every one! I love the Spirit that is with Christmas time! I hope that you all have a safe week and always remember to Read the Book of Mormon!!

Hey guys,

Well i didn't really do much this week because I was told by the Orthopedic Surgeon to stay off my knee soooo....

Monday was the day that I saw the doctor so i went home and didn't do much. He said that i strained my MCL! Almost popped it but thank Heavens it didn't!

Tuesday I went out on a trade off with Elder Christensen so i could get to know some of their investigators. I didn't do much walking though... We also had the Saintgill's for lunch then the Ballard's dinner.

Wednesday i went to see the Orthopedic guy and he told me that i strained my MCL so he gave me some exercises to do for 6 weeks. Great... So Elder Craig and I went home to pack him up then we went to see Brother Williams.

Thursday we went to help Sister Cheryl pack food for Thanksgiving and she also fed us. We then went to the Seawell's to help them prepare for Thanksgiving as well. Their food was soooo gooood!!!! it was like having Thanksgiving back home! Christmas music playing and everything!!

Friday We went and had pizza with Sister Walkine and then went to Menchie's with Sister Charlene and Melda then went to Friday Night Activities and played domino with Brother Ferdinand!

Saturday Stayed in because of my knee, then went to the Robasto's for dinner. We also had transfer calls and i am the only missionary staying in Nassau and Elder Markwalter will be my companion now! We are the Zone Leaders now!

Sunday we had Noelda and Demitri  come to church! It was awesome to see them their on their own! After church we went to the Ferdinand's for food, then went to the Sinea's for a game night and Spiritual Thought. It was so cool! we had the Whole Yard out there yelling and making fun it was sweet! We then went to sister Deal's who fed us dinner. It has been a crazy week!

I am truly thankful for the Restored Gospel and for my family. I don't know what I would do with out them. I Hope that the people that i shared that with feels my love for my family. I pray for everyone back home. I hope that You will All have a great week and that you have a great Holiday Season!

Week 53

Hey Guys!

Monday started off with a whole lot of nothing... But we did go see the Smith's and the Ferdinand's for Family Home Evening! It is always fun to go and visit with them!

Tuesday morning we went and saw Brother Allen Taylor and his mother. We talked about the Book of Mormon being our Keystone to our Testimonies and our Religion. We also went and saw Rolle who we taught the Plan of Salvation to. He also showed us all of his plants that he has that bare fruits and ones that he takes pride in! We tried to see Kenton that day but we weren't sure where he was or anything like that. We don't really know what is going on with him right now... Anyways, We were also supposed to see Sandra but she wasn't home either. We then went to the Seawell's for dinner then home for studies.

Wednesday morning was District Meeting. We tried to see Kenton that day too but he wasn't home and he wasn't answering his phone either! We went to check up on Sister Downer and Brother Godfrey. We also picked up a new investigator that night. His name is Don. He is a friend of Sister Downer. Brother Williams cancelled on us so we had most of our evening to go talk to new people and to do more studies.

Thursday morning we did service for Brother Lucito for about 20 minutes before it started to rain. We had Brother Cartwright with us so we took him to the church to type up a resume for him to help him apply for jobs. He then took us to lunch. We stopped by the Michel family but Brother Michel wasn't home so we couldn't stay. We dropped off some pamphlets for them to teach their daughter the Gospel to prepare her for Baptism. We then stopped by Sister Wencie to tell her good job at getting all of her kids to church that last Sunday and to share a spiritual thought on the Sacrament. After that we had most of our night fall through again so we took our studies because we didn't get them in that morning.

Friday morning was Weekly Planning. Elder Craig's last weekly planning too! Afterwards we went to see Demitri. We went over the Baptismal interview questions with him to figure out what he needs to learn the most. Right now his mother is what is holding him back from baptism. We later picked up Brother Latario to go see a potential investigator but we found out that she moved so we have no clue where she is... We then went to see Brother Vytal and his father Raphael. Vytal was the only one awake so we talked about his family and how we could help him share the Gospel with them. We then went to see the Julmis family but it was only their mother home. She is Haitian so we had to use a Creole Book of Mormon. I have been reading from the Creole BoM for a couple weeks now so that is where my reading came in handy! I pronounced most of the words right! Hopefully I will be able to bare my testimony in Creole when I get home!

Saturday morning we called a bunch of members and investigators to invite them to church. We then went and saw a former investigator named Romell. We found out that he doesn't want to make any commitments or anything to we taught the Plan of Salvation to see if it would change his heart but it didn't... So we left him with a few pamphlets then left. We then spent the next two hours trying to find another potential investigator's home but couldn't find it. So we went to go Basketball Contacting. This is when I dislocated my knee for the 3rd time. This one HURT!! But, I did talk to a really cool young man named Conrad who is very willing to sit down and to listen to us! He is very promising!

Sunday we had church and the opportunity to renew our covenants with the Lord. Man am I grateful for that! We then had the Ferdinand's for lunch, then the Sinea's for a Family Home Evening, and a small Bash with Eric's friend Rolle again... Rolle is so hard hearted it's very sad! I seriously feel soooo bad for him! I feel like Nephi when his Father dies and when his brothers try to kill him afterwards! We then went to a small concert that was put on for Brother Lucito's wife. We heard a lot of really good people sing for her and wish her better health.

That was my week. I hope that what I share with you guys will touch you as this last week has touched me. I am truly grateful for the Love of the Lord in my life. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to show that love for those around me. I love this work and I encourage everyone to look for those opportunities to show their love for those around them! I love you All!

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

Week 52

Hey guys,

Well last Monday we didn't do anything exciting, just went to church early so Elder Craig could register for classes then we did nothing the rest of the day until we had the Smith's and the Ferdinand's for Family Home Evening. While we were at the Ferdinand's, Brother Ferdinand taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ and when he got to Baptism he asked his son if he was wanting to be baptized! His son said yes and it was just awesome! They showed a huge amount of love for their boy at that time and it was amazing!

Tuesday morning we went to see Brother Allen Taylor. He is a 19 year old father to a one year old boy. Right now he is wanting to make sure that he is setting a good example for his son and that he has the right foundation set under him. So he invited us over and we had a nice get to know you conversation. After we left there we went to the church to wait for Brother Cartright so we could help him with his resume but he never showed up so we went to lunch. Later we tried looking for the Etiene house but couldn't find it so we tried to go see Kenton but he wasn't home. So we took studies at the church before heading to the Seawell's for dinner.

Wednesday morning we had District Meeting. It was alright this week, nothing to exciting happened. After we took lunch we went to see Tyrell, Sandra's oldest boy. We just sat down and asked him why he wanted to meet with missionaries and he was completely honest with us. He told us that he was only doing it because his mother wanted him to. So we told him that if he doesn't want to sit down with us he doesn't have too. So we just talked about his goals that he has for himself and how he can possibly achieve them. We were also supposed to see Brother Raphael but he wasn't home. We also had a potential investigator fall through as well so we decided to go finding around the Ferdinand's home. They wanted us to talk to their neighbors so we did. We walked down the street and contacted a man named TJ. We then took Brother Ferdinand to see Brother Williams. When we pulled up to Brother Williams' house, he came out side and saw Brother Ferdinand and just dropped his head with a huge smile on his face! It was like they hadn't seen each other in years! They were bother talking and laughing and have a great time. Then Brother Williams just turned to him and said, "Brother, I'm gonna promise you that I will be at church before the month is over." And the conversation switched to church just like that. It was nice to see and listen to them talk because Brother Ferdinand was the Branch President years ago and Brother Williams was his clerk. They did almost everything together in church! It was amazing to see them back get back together.

Thursday morning we went to do service for Brother Lucito Bazard again. We weren't able to spend too much time there that day but Elder Craig and I got quite a bit of work done that day! Later we went to see TJ but he was too busy to try and share a message with him so we told him that we would call him and set up another appointment. Then we had Demitri fall through as well. The Bazard's were feeding us that night so we started making our way over there. I tell you, the traffic over here from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. is packed! That is their rush hour here! It takes us an hour to get to some of our appointments sometimes because it's so bad! Anyways, we get to the Bazard's and they had some bomb chicken wings! Oh my goodness were they good! By the time we were done eating it was about 7:30 so we headed for home because it was gonna take us a while to get there...

Friday morning we had interviews with President Pearson. I found out that I was probably be staying in Nassau for another 3 months. That is NOT set in stone so no one believe it until it actually happens! Anyways, after the interviews we went to see Brother Thomas at his work place and watched him almost get run over by a forklift... We had a nice lesson on Alma 32 where he talks about experimenting with faith. We encouraged him to keep reading and prayer so that he could become a Book of Mormon wizard like he is with the Bible. We were supposed to have a lesson with Sister Charlene but we couldn't find a church brother to go with us. So we went and stopped by Sister Wencie to drop off a shirt for her boy Trevor and left them with a prayer. We had Weekly Planning that night.

Saturday morning we did our Sunday Roundup, had lunch, then went to see Brother Rolle. He was doing okay when we stopped by to see him, we hadn't been able to get a hold of him for a couple days so we stopped by to check up on him. Brother Rolle is our investigator btw. We scheduled an appointment with him then went to see Kenton in his work. We also haven't been able to get a hold of Kenton either so we cornered him at work and set up appointments with him then. We then Sat down with Brother Latario and talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We then took him to see Sandra, who wasn't home, and to check a potential investigator. We then took him home and went to the Robasto's house for dinner. That night was also a baptism for the other Elders.

Sunday we had church and there were about 97 people there! Numbers are climbing! Well, 20 of them were tourists, but hey! Slowly but surely! We went to the Ferdinand's for lunch and gained 5 pounds, then went to see Brother Sinea and his mother. We just talked about her conversion story to get to know her. Brother Pierre, I could go on and on about how awesome Brother Pierre is! We talked about his preparation to enter the temple. As we where trying to leave things just became too funny for us to try and leave!. Brother Pierre is just awesome! We then went to pick up Watson to go see Noelda. When we got there, Elda, Noelda's friend, showed up and sat down with us again. We talked about the Plan of Salvation. They were just like sponges! We left them with the commitment to pray about what we had read and to continue their Book of Mormon reading.

Well, again, it amazes me to see how often people put the Church first out here! I love the mentality that some people have out here with wanting to put the Church first and the Priesthood and so on because it is all here for us to make it back to Him who gave it to us to use for the every day grind that we go through. I have used the Priesthood more here in Nassau than I have anywhere else because people have seen the blessings that truly do come from using it the right way. I love the people here and am truly grateful for the people here and for the love that they have for the church and for this gospel! I wish to extend the commitment that I extended a few months ago. Try to put the Church first in everything that you do. Put your calling first, put your duty to God and your brothers and sisters around you first. I know that the Lord will bless you in ways that you can I can not understand or see. I love you all!

Week 51

Where do I start?

Monday started off as a good day but went down hill rather quickly. Elder Craig and I were playing basketball for our morning exercise when my left knee cap decided to dislocate itself. So we went home, iced it, took pain killers to keep the swelling down, and called Sister Pearson. She told me to buy some braces for it and to be careful. So, after we saw Raymond we went to the store to buy the braces. Later that night we went to Poseidon's Table in Atlantis and ate food till we were about to pop! It was soo good though! Not good on the wallet though, sorry Mother haha!

Tuesday was Zone Conference with the Kingston Zone in Jamaica. So we Skyped in and listened to the new Christmas Initiative for this Christmas and from our Zone Leaders, Elder Christensen and Elder Harrah. It was a good conference! Afterwards we went to the Ballard's for dinner. We tried to see Kenton but we didn't have enough time.

Wednesday we stopped by Brother Godfrey and talked to him about parenting haha! He was watching his granddaughter and she was screaming her head off! He was just sitting outside in his car when we pulled up to up to his house. He looked at us like, "You have no clue how long I have been sitting out here." Went and had lunch at the house then went to see Demitri. We talked about the Book of Mormon and how, through the Book of Mormon, we can receive revelation to our own questions about the Gospel. It was a good lesson, we committed him to read 1 Nephi 1 and to come to church. Most of our day fell through so went finding for a little bit then went home for studies.

Thursday morning we spent some time looking up inactive members phone numbers to see if we could go find them and help them in anyway. After we took lunch we went and stopped by Kenton's work to apologize for not making it to our appointment with him on Tuesday. Afterwards we tried to find some of the members homes and ran into a man that Elder Craig felt prompted to help with his water jugs. We followed him down the road and into a shop where we meet Dora! Dora is not the Explorer that you are thinking of but she is a member of the Church. As we were looking for Members, Brother Camron ran into us and he helped us look for some members homes because he wasn't doing anything. We dropped Camron off as we headed for Sister Kemp's for her birthday dinner. We met the other Elders there and had a really good dinner and dessert! Guava Duff is heavenly! on our way home we tried to see Jackson and Maria but they weren't home.

Friday was weekly planning which took most of the morning. We went and saw Demitri again and reread 1 Nephi 1 with him to help him understand it better. We had the Seawell's for dinner and we had waffles! We also tried to see Kenton that night too but he wasn't home.

Saturday was the Service Day for the Church so we went and planted trees and crops for a local school! It was a blast! I didn't take any pictures of it because i was too busy helping Mother Earth become green again. we hauled a lot of rocks out of greenhouses, planted pumpkin. and mango trees. After that we went to have lunch to Brother Bazard's to do more service for him! Elder Craig and I then went to go basketball contacting. We had played about 8 games of 21 with a bunch of guys before my knee decided to dislocate again. Yeah, not the brightest idea to play but hey! It was fun and we talked to quite a few people that we think would like us over! We haven't contacted them yet but soon come!

Sunday was fast and testimony meeting. I don't think I have missed a fast and testimony meeting since I have started my mission. Booya! After church we had branch council then the Ferdinand's for lunch. We then went to see Brother Sinea. We talked about the Plan of Salvation and where he fits in in the Plan. We talked about how big of a difference that we can make in peoples lives as well. After Brother Sinea we went to see a potential investigator and his friend. Eric was the man we contacted and Rolle was his friend. The second we stepped out of the car, Rolle started raining questions on us! He had the Spirit of Contention with him from the beginning! But luckily, through all of that, Eric felt the Spirit enough to invite us back over. We then went to Sister Deal's for dinner.

I know this Church to be Christ's Church once again on the Earth. No one can convince me other wise. No one can strip me of my testimony that has been strengthen immensely since starting my mission. I will do my best to share this Gospel with everyone in hopes that it will change their life as it has mine. I know this can happen to anyone!

I love you all! I hope all is well that you are all ready for the snow because I sure am!

Week 50

Hey guys!

This week has been pretty good! We have done a lot of member work in hopes of helping them build their testimonies back up then to help them bring their friends into the Church as well! So we have been seeing a lot of Less-Active Members and Inactive Members.

Monday was just a normal P-Day, went shopping, bought some clothes from Cariloha, and Went to see the Ferdinand's for Family Home evening.

Tuesday we went and saw Sister Downer and she introduced us to her son Stephon. We also went to see Brother Godfrey who was dressed up nice for a "Date" that afternoon! He was swaggin! After we saw them we went home for lunch then to Sister Smith's because we didn't get to see her on Monday. She was sick so she asked us for a blessing. She also invited a friend to sit in for the blessing so that was cool! He started to ask some questions about the prophets and such so we, kind of, taught the Restoration. We were supposed to have a lesson with Brother Watson but the other Elders were with him seeing one of their investigators. We took our comp study at that time instead then went to see our new investigator, Brother Rolle. He is Deera's father. We taught him the Restoration. We were also supposed to see Brother Thomas but he wasn't home so we went home to make phone calls.

Wednesday was District Meeting and Elder Craig and I taught it! It was awesome! We acted like we were upset with each other to scare everyone then we talked about what we were asked to talk about. The topic was "Member Work". It was awesome! Afterwards we went to see Kenton but he was actually just headed out with his family to go some where so we just talked with him about the assignments that we left with him. Later we tried to see Brother Raphael but he wasn't home. We stopped by Brother Pierre and talked about a whole bunch of stuff! I love talking with Brother Pierre! Everything that we talk about always makes its way back to the Gospel! We then went to see Brother Williams. We talked about the Apostasy and the Restoration in 1 Nephi 13. He learned a lot about it and loved the lesson!

Thursday we had service for Brother Bazard again. Most of our appointments fell through but we were able to see Noelda again! We haven't seen her in a long time so it was nice to see her again! We reviewed the Book of Mormon and the Priesthood. Also! Thursday was my Year mark!!! I burned my shirt that night and the Land Lord even gave me gas to pour on my shirt! I have pictures too so don't worry! But, my camera wasn't fully charged so it died half way through the videos... Sorry Mother...

Friday was Weekly Planning. We went to see Sister Charlene and had an awesome lesson on the Atonement. After the lesson she fed all four of us at Margaritaville on Paradise Island. Friday Night Activity was also that night we played basketball with some members.

Saturday morning we spent calling members and investigators to remind them about church and coordinating rides for them. We then went to see Brother Latario to review the Plan of Salvation with him because he asked to go through it again with him. We ended up waiting an hour for his sister to get home to watch her baby so we could take Latario to a lesson with Sandra. While at Sandra's we met a lady who was with Sandra's older boy and talked about the Church a little bit with her. Before we left was gave her a Restoration pamphlet to read as she flew home. We then went to the Seawell's for dinner and had biscuits and gravy! Later that night we went to play basketball with Kenton then Elder Craig had an interview with President Pearson for his temple recommend before it expired.

Sunday was church! Yay for the Sacrament! I hope that the Sacrament means just as much to you all as it does for me! Afterwards we went to the Ferdinand's for lunch then to see Brother Sinea. We went to see Sister Youte as well. She was having her birthday party that night so she had some friends there who were sitting in on the lesson that we had! Only one of them would give us their number and we are planning on seeing her next Sunday at Sister Youte's house!

I hope that you all have a great week and that every one has a great Halloween! Love you All!

Week 49

Hey guys,

This last week started off a little rough due to the whole Elder Call going home but he now back home with his family getting better so hopefully he can make it back out.

Monday Elder Call and I spent almost the whole afternoon trying to get coconuts out of the trees in the church yard! It was a blast! We got out the tall, extendable latter with a 20 foot long pole and a rake to pull on the coconuts we could reach. I had a ton of coconut meat that day! I taught Elder Call how to shuck a coconut and crack it open so we could get the water and meat. I probably ate about 5 coconuts by myself! Later that day Elder Christensen and I went to see the Smith's like we always do except Sister Smith wasn't there so it was just a drop by to check up on the kids.

Tuesday Elder Christensen and I taught District Meeting because we were the Zone Leaders; well, Elder Christensen was the Zone Leader I was not. It was fun to see and to hear from the Elders in Cayman and from the Sisters in Turks! Afterwards we went to go see a Less-Active family, the Saint-Jill's. They fed us lunch then we went to see Kenton. He was excited to see us. He had broken his phone so we couldn't get a hold of him so we decided to stop by and see him. We talked about how his vacation was and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember right now. Later we stopped by the house to check up on Elder Call and Elder Craig. I think we made phone calls the rest of the night, I can't remember. Oh, we finished packing Elder Call's stuff for him too.

Wednesday morning we took Elder Call to the airport. I think Elder Call leaving his mission hit me harder than it did him at that point in time. I'm not going to lie, watching him leave was rough! Afterwards we went back to the house to catch back up on our sleep. Elder Christensen and I had to teach District Meeting again because there are two districts in our zone now. This one was with the Elders in Freeport and us. After district meeting we went home to clean the house for the new Elder that was coming in. We went to see Kenton that night too. We put him on date for the 11th of November! He said he was going to pray about the date and prepare himself for it! So that was the Highlight of the day! Afterwards we went to see Brother Williams. We talked a lot about a lot of different stuff, weird stuff, but oh well. That happens some times! They fed us and we made our way home.

Thursday we did a lot of service for Brother L. Bizard again. We shopped open a lot of coconuts again and was also fed by President Cherenfant. After service was over we went home to do our personal studies and shower. Later that evening we went to pick up Elder Harrah from the airport then went to the Seawell's for dinner. It is always nice going to the Seawell's because it feels like home and they are just an awesome family!

Friday we actually had a weekly planning and a rather big one because we couldn't do a weekly planning session the week before. Afterwards we went to see Kenton at his work and to follow up with him on his reading assignment that we had given him. Later we went back to the house to set up appointments for next week because we had fallen behind. We then went to Sister Cheryl's to have dinner. Elder Craig shared a really cool spiritual thought on Moroni 7:12-13. What good things can we do to those around us to show them that we love them?

Saturday morning Elder Craig and I had a Church Roundup calling session where we call all of the members that we are working with to invite them to church and also our investigators. We tried to play basketball with that group of kids in the church neighborhood but they weren't coming out to play with us so we went and picked up a member to go see come of his friends. We Also went to play basketball on Blue Hill with Kenton and some members but no members showed up and Neither did Kenton. So it ended up being Missionaries against random kids. It was fun but we didn't get any phone numbers out of it so it was alright.

Sunday morning Elder Craig and I went to go walk with and investigator to church but she was taking too long so we told her we would meet her over there. She did make it in time for the last 5 minutes of Sacrament Meeting and the rest of church though. We went to the Ferdinand's for lunch and ,of course, had the best Haitian food on Earth! I never leave that home hungry! Afterwards we went to see Brother Sinea who served in the JKM as well. The first part of the lesson was on Discipleship then we went to see some Less-Active members with him. We later went back to the church to print off an assignment from our District Leader for Wednesday. We then went tracting in a fairly nice neighborhood and meet two really cool guys. We are scheduled to see them this coming week so I will let you know how that goes!

Well, my year mark is coming up this week. It's Amazing to see how time flies when you are doing something that you love. I honestly feel like my mission has been a couple months long not a year! Sorry to those that I didnt reply to this week, I will do my best to reply to you next week! I love you All! I hope that you are all STUDYING the Book of Mormon and not just reading it. The Spirit is so much stronger when you actually sit down and ponder and pray about what you have studied. I know that this work is the Lord's work, I know this Church is the Lord's Kingdom back on the Earth today for All of us to find and to thrive in.

Week 48

Hey guys, well this week has been crazy weird. Elder Call is leaving for home this week on a medical release, Elder Harrah is coming out to be Elder Christensen's companion, and I will "kill", be Elder Craig's last companion.

Monday was normal for us; had P-day then went to see the Smith's and, like always, it was crazy. can't really remember what we did that day. I am sorry; this email is gonna be a little weird do to how crazy it was so just bare with me now.

Tuesday Elder Craig and I had two types of finding planned for the day then some appointments that night. We were going to go tracting, door to door, then we were going to go basketball contacting. As we were about to leave the house, Elder Christensen and Elder Call came home for lunch but Elder Call wasn't feeling too well so Elder Craig decided to stay with him and Elder Christensen and I went out to his and my appointments that we had planned. I don't remember who we saw or what we did but when we got home we found out that Elder Call hasn't gotten any better.

Wednesday morning Elder Call told us that he didn't sleep very well at all. Elder Craig stayed with him again and in all honesty i couldn't tell you what we did. Elder Call has been on my mind for the whole week so every thing has been lost in time... Oh we had district meeting on Wednesday, put one of Elder Christensen's investigators on date for November 4th, went to sister Scott's to do service then she fed us, went to Brother Williams house and he fed us later that evening, and then went to Menchies for frozen yogurt with sister Charlene.

Thursday we did service for a church brother all day till 3 in the after noon. We had to chop his yard and clean out a bunch of vines that had over grown a palm tree and a fallen tree. It was fun but our legs were bit up my bugs so bad! Our legs feel like sand paper now! I couldn't tell you what we did afterwards for the same reason as Wednesday.

Friday I can't remember what happened... I am terrible at this. Sister Seawell fed us that's about all i can remember...

Saturday we didnt do anything but watch Elder Call while Elder Craig got rest from watching Elder Call 24/7 all week.

Sunday Elder Christensen and I went to church, went to the the Ferdinand's, took the sacrament to Elder Call and Elder Craig, then went to see a few people.

All I can say about this week is Oh my Gosh... I can not remember the last time i was so stressed over some one else besides an investigator as i am with Elder Call. I can not believe that Elder Call is going home. I gave him a blessing and the Spirit hinted to me that he would go home but it hit me harder when he told me that he was. Always remember that there is ALWAYS some one watching you that Loves you more than anyone in the whole world. He will help you through everything. He doesn't give anyone trials that you can't overcome!

I love you! I pray for you all. Hopefully you all are having a great week!

Week 47

Hey fam, well it's almost that time again for transfer calls! This coming Saturday I will find out if I will stay here in Nassau or if they will move me back to Jamaica. Hopefully I stay here a little longer but I will let you know next week!

Monday Elder Craig and I went to Curly's for lunch where Elder Craig had his first taste of Cracked Conch and Conch Fritters. It rained a lot that day as well. Later that evening we went to see Sister Smith for FHE. She was tired from running her kids around and work so she wasn't putting up with her kids' craziness that day. She asked us for a blessing of comfort so we asked Brother Blair if he would like to give her the blessing. That was his first blessing and he did a great job! If he was nervous at all he didn't show it! Still love that family!

Tuesday morning we spent making phone calls to inactive members and to former investigators. Tried to go see Brother Dauphin but he was at work and we couldn't find a parking spot to save our lives! So we went to see Brother Mitchell and his family. They were excited to see us but mostly their kids because they love climbing all over me🙄 But it's alright because one of us will distract the kids as the other one teaches the lesson. As we leave they all want to be pulled up like they are jumping high. They grab onto my wrists and they jump as I lift them up. They love it almost too much! After the Mitchell family we went to the church to play basketball with some kids that we played with the week before hoping that we would be able to teach them afterwards but they didn't show up. So we played ball with Brother Sinea and Brother Blair hoping more kids would come join from the neighborhood. No success but oh well.

Wednesday was district meeting and it was nice to finally have every one back in the one meeting! The Turks Sisters finally made it back to Turks last Tuesday so they were in district meeting. After district we went finding for a little bit but it ended up being cut short due to rain. We took lunch and comp studies then tried to go see Sister Downer but she wasn't home. We got to see Brother Williams though and he opened up to us on why he hasn't been coming to church. He hasn't been reached out too ever since he was released from his calling. Since seeing him, we have asked about 5 members to keep in touch with him. He also fed us! His wife used to be a cook somewhere so she is dang good at cooking food!

Thursday morning we were supposed to see Island but we could get a church brother to go with us. So instead we decided to go play basketball on the nicest courts that we know of. We played for about 30 minutes before people started showing up to play with us. They were all above the age of 17 which is nice. They were using some nasty language though... We played with them for 3 hours! Afterwards we shared a short message on eternal families. We left them all with Plan of Salvation pamphlets hoping some would call us but none have called so far. Later that afternoon we went to see Brother Watson so we could get the home teaching companion and assignment sheet. We wanted to help them reach out to the members they were assigned to but Watson couldn't find his paper. That was the first time Missionaries have sat down Him in a long time! He expressed his gratitude then we went on our way. Sadly, the rest of our appointments fell through so we went to play basketball again! This time at a court close to our house. All these guys that played that time were 20+ in age! They didn't use the best language either... But again, we played till we had to leave then left them with Restoration pamphlets.

Friday was weekly planning session. Went to see sister Downer and Brother Godfrey. Then had a pretty sad Friday Night Activity. We played basketball with a bunch of kids that night but it wasn't the best turn out.

Saturday morning we called all of our investigators and all of the members that we are working with to invite them all to church and help them all get rides there as well. Had lunch, then went to see see Yorick but he wasn't home. Also tried seeing some of our other investigators but they weren't home or there was no male there. That evening we had coordination and dinner at the Seawell's. The Seawell's make some really good food! It makes me miss my mother's cooking! After we ate there we went to the nice courts again to play more baskatball. One of our investigators came to play with us! Kenton! He introduced us to his girlfriend then her friend that were there to watch him play. He can ball! I guarded him and it was a fun ball game! We also got a few numbers from guys that played with us. It was a very successful night of basketball contacting!

Sunday we didn't have any investigators show up, sadly. Bore my testimony on being patient. Went to the Ferdinand's for lunch and looked at some pictures of Brother Ferdinand's missionary days! Went to see Brother Sinea and his family! Just had a sit down and build relationship lesson. Talked about his mission and things like that. Tried to see Brother Pierre but couldn't make it in time. Also tried to see Jackson and Maria but they had a water pipe burst so they were trying to get it fixed. Sadly couldn't see hardly anyone this week.

Well, I now know what it is like to have 3 a day basketball practices! But this Gospel keeps me going and I am grateful for the energy that Heavenly Father gives me to keep me going. Times have been slow here with investigators but I know that He is helping us through it all. He will help you all through all of your trials as well. All you need to do is rely on him and ask him for help. He asked for so little and gives so much in return! I love you guys!

Week 46

Well this week started off with hair cuts from Sister Seawell then Burger Shack for lunch! Burger Shack is in my top 5 favorite burger places now! Later that evening we went and saw Sister smith and her family for FHE. Those kids are so energetic it's crazy! I don't know how Sister Smith does it on her own!

Tuesday morning we had breakfast with Brother Pierre and it took us an hour to get from our house to where we were going to eat! That trip is normally like a 15 minute drive on a regular day but now that school is started back up it took us an hour! Traffic was backed up everywhere! Anyways, we had breakfast then went back to the house for studies, lunch, and companionship studies. That day was honestly so mixed up. It didn't go as scheduled but it was still a productive day! We went and say Kenton who is ready to be baptized all he really has to do is make it to church! That young man is already wanting to share the gospel with his friends! After him we tried to find sister Downer's house but I had forgotten how to get there so we dropped by Brother Williams to see how he's doing. We basketball contacted the rest of the evening as well. We changed into basketball stuff, found a court that people were playing on, challenged them to a game, then shared a spiritual thought with them before we left. We played three 16 year kids and two of them were pretty interested in having us come over to share more so we will see how things roll out with them!

Wednesday morning was District Meeting then after we had lunch. While Elder Craig and I were in Jamaica we met a member there who spends most of her time in Nassau. So we got her phone number so we could call her and stop by and see her. We set up an appointment with her but she didn't answer her phone so we could get directions to her house. We ended up seeing Domonique instead. She wants to be a member but she doesn't want to be baptized for a couple months until her youngest child can behave himself. Which is weird because I've never seen the kid freak out or anything. But I will take her word fore it because she is the mother! After her we went to the church to meet up with the other Elders to have dinner that they were supposed to bring from Sister Scott but they didn't do that. So we ended up playing basketball with some boys in the church parking lot. When we were done playing we, of course, shared a spiritual thought with them and invited them to come to General Conference. After we had done that we went back to the house to change and shower. We spent the remainder of the evening calling investigators and less active members.

Thursday morning was spent calling people again. We went through a ton of less active and inactive members to invite them all to General Conference. Later that after noon we went to Sister Smith's house because we couldn't have a lesson with her on Monday. So we had it with her that day. We challenged them to use some of their own personal gifts or talents to share the gospel with those around them. Later that evening we went to see Jackson and Jackson Jr.. We had a priesthood lesson with them and we tried our best to help them understand the priesthood and how it isn't just a group or man-given authority. It is power and authority from Heaven and no man can just receive it. I hope and pray that they understood it. They also gave us some chocolate cake and I got to talk to Ambrey, Jackson's daughter, over FaceTime! It was nice to see her again! She is about 10 years old and is just a ball of joy! Her and I do sign language to each other such as sign language for the word cookie or giraffe.

Friday was weekly planning! We went to lunch with the other Elders at Subway. We stopped by Yorick's house that day as well and had a pretty scattered but spiritual lesson. He asked us questions about Joseph Smith and Church History stuff. He read our reading assignment that we gave him which was Ether 12. We discussed that then invited him to General Conference. He gave us some limes as well! After him we went to see Sister Downer and this time I remembered how to get to her house! The Spirit brought it back to my remeberance! We just had a get to know you lesson with her. She has spent a lot of time with the Sister Missionaries when they were here. Later hat night we stopped by Brother Raphael to see how he was doing. We invited him to Conference as well.

Saturday was probably my favorite day this last week and I will tell you why. Elder Holland. Need I say more? Didn't think so! Anyways, General Conference was awesome! I loved hearing all of the talks but by far my favorite ones were Elder Holland and Elder Oaks talks! Those two Elders knew exactly what the world needed to hear and it is all because of our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They inspired these men on all of their topics and will continue to do so because They trust them to run Their church. This IS the one and only true church! All the other churches in the world only have a little bit of truth. But thankfully Heavenly Father saw fit to bring back the Truth in its entirety. For lunch we went to Popeyes then for dinner we went to Dairy Queen for Blizzards. I also bought a sweet new pink tie. Anyways, we asked President Pearson if we could stay up and watch all of the Priesthood session mainly because we are two hours ahead of Utah time so it would finish around 10 pm here. He said we could so we did!

Sunday was also a really great day due to General Conference. All of the talks were great. It was sad to here Elder Hales pass away but so it goes. Another Authority will be called to replace him and the work will continue. I wish the Hales family peace and comfort as they go through this loss of their loved one. After the first session we went to the Ferdinand's for lunch like always. Man, if I could cook some Haitian food like them, I would never eat out! After General Conference ended we went to the house to call former investigators to see if they would like to meet with missionaries again.

The time has come for my spiritual message and all I can think about is Elder Eyring laughing as he talked about the Helping Hands in Texas, Georgia, and Florida. The stories of all those people so willingly helping each other is amazing. How many of us are WILLINGLY going to help those around us when they need us the most? Some people just stand by and watch. Others, true disciples of Christ, get down and dirty in the clean up, in providing, and encouraging the needy. I challenge every one to do as King Mosiah said. Serve others! Serve your brother and/or sister in need! God will see your actions and your intentions and will bless you for it! I know these things to be true and I sustain all of the General Authorities! #LDSConf

Have a great week every one!

Week 45 - Back in Nassau

Hello everyone! I am finally back in Nassau now!

Monday was a Bahamas Zone Conference so we spent the day in Mandeville have a conference with the entire off-island zone which includes the Turks Sisters, Cayman Elders, Freeport Elders, and the Nassau Elders. Is was cool to have our own conference in person and not over a computer screen! It was fun!

Tuesday was our P-Day and I spent it with Elder Jensen. We sent off some packages which took us a lot longer than it should have! We also spent most of the day packing and playing card games with the other Elders. That night we were picked up by the Office Elders to be taken to Kingston for the night. We stayed with the Assistants in their really nice house! Hot water and a/c!

Wednesday morning we left for Nassau! We flew to Miami then to Nassau. When we got back we were picked up by former Elder Senior and Brother Whitney in Sister Seawell's car! It was a huge surprise to us! Oh, and while we were waiting for them 4 Roles Royce cars roll up to the airport picking up tourists to take them to their hotels. I have a picture with one! Anyways, we spent most of that night cleaning and reorganizing the house. Wednesday was also my little brother, Zane's, birthday! Too bad I wasn't there to harass him but oh well! He knows I love him!

Thursday was weird too. We spent the morning cleaning the house. And drove around Nassau taking Elder Craig to meet all the members that were at work. We stopped by Del Sol to see Brother Ferdinand and Marco, we went to see Brother Pierre at Curly's, then went to a frozen yogurt place with Sister Charlene and Melda. That place was sooo good!

Friday we spent at the house having weekly planning. Afterwards we spent most of the day calling people to set up appointments for the coming week. We stopped by Sandra to see how she was doing and Dacorya tells us that she has a ton of questions for us! So we tell her to write them all down and we would pick them up on Saturday.

Saturday morning we went shopping to get Calvin Seawell something for his birthday, had lunch then made a bunch of phone calls again before we had coordination at 4 at the Seawell's. Following Coordination we had dinner with the Seawell's and celebrated Calvin's birthday. The Seawell's are so nice! They gave us a ton of food to take home with us as well! We went to see Sandra again but we couldn't get a male to go with us so we just picked up the list of questions from Dacorya and went home to answer them for her.

Sunday was the best! All the members were so happy to see us back in Nassau! All of them missed us! After church we went to the Ferdinand's for Haitian food, tried to see Sandra again but her boys had to leave so we couldn't have the lesson. We did drop off some of the answers to her questions though so that was good. We went and talked with Brother Pierre about preparing for the temple! That was an awesome lesson! I am super excited to see him go through the temple! On our way home we stopped by Jackson and Maria. They thought that we had forgotten about them! We had an awesome lesson on Faith and Leaps of Faith and committed them to come to church and to hold a family prayer every night. They also gave us some strawberry cheesecake! Don't worry Grandma, hers wasn't as good as yours! Also, my Grandpa's birthday was this day! Turning the big 70! I love you Grandpa!!

Right now I am honestly too exhausted to type a huge spiritual message. But please, please, please continue in your personal prayers and studies! I know that Heavenly Father will bless you for those actions. I love you all! Hold to the Rod.✊🏼

Week 44

I hope that I never walk this much, in dress shoes, again. My feet are so sore from walking on rocky roads, dirt roads, and roads in general! Get me back to a car!😭

Monday was a Zone P-Day so we went to see some members in the morning then went to Mandeville for the Zone P-Day. Elder Christensen and Elder Call were there, the Freeport Elders were there and the Turks Sisters were there. Almost the entire Bahamas Zone was there except for the Elders in Cayman. It was a blast! We played lots of basketball, football, board games, but mainly Knockout or Lightning. It was fun to see all the Elders and Sisters that I haven't seen in a long time!

Tuesday was full of walking and hardly seeing anyone... We walked a lot which caused my feet to be in pain but that's okay because we spent some time at the church. Elder Craig didn't get the chance to email his family on Monday so he emailed on Tuesday. We walked the Freeport Elders to our house so they could see if they wanted to move in with us as well. We spent most of the evening cleaning the house so they could move in with us. We also ordered Dominoes Pizza🙌🏼

Wednesday morning the Freeport Elders moved in with us. The Gotfredson's moved them in. We all ate lunch at the house then we went on trade offs with each other. We went in groups of three so we could see women without having to worry about having a male there. I went with Elders Jensen and Pankratz. Elders Craig, Gilson, and Shaffer went together too. It was a pretty good day I guess. A lot of walking like usual but we had two lessons so not too bad. That night we went to Juiceys to get patties then bought ice cream because we could. Not the smartest idea but oh well. It sure tasted good though. At the house that night we all started walking the Other Side of Heaven. Never seen it before but I thought it was a pretty good movie.

Thursday was district meeting with the May Pen district... it is weird to be having a district meeting other than the Bahamas district meeting! But oh well. We went to get lunch with the district then went back to the house to prep for the rest of the day. As we were doing so it started to rain. For the rest of the evening.... We stayed inside due to rain but, we still had fun with the other Elders! We had our own little draft for the NFL and we debated who would win out of our teams! It was fun!

Friday we spent the morning weekly planning. This planning session was weird as well because we planned for May Pen and for Nassau because we weren't sure if we would be leaving or not. That afternoon we talked about what we were gonna do with the six of us that were there. We decided to split into Trios so that we could see women in the branch. Elder Jensen, Elder Shaffer and I went out and Elder Craig, Elder Pankratz, and Elder Gibson went out to see the people that Elder Craig and I started to work with. Then we went to Friday night activities and watched movies with the Branch!

Saturday Elder Jensen wasn't feeling good so Elder Craig took Elder Pankratz and Elder Gilson took Elder Shaffer out to see members and investigators while I stayed with Elder Jensen. Elder Jensen and I became Bros!😂 It was a weird day but oh well! It was fun getting to know him.

Sunday we got to church early because the Sisters wanted to practice a song for Sacrament Meeting. Jevon Hudson from Junction was there again! Jevon's papers are in SLC now being Processed for his mission! I can't wait to hear where he goes! After church Elder Craig and I taught Mission Prep. It was weird but fun. When we got home we started packing that way we were already to leave this coming Wednesday! We spent the rest of the evening packing.

How is everyone doing on all the challenges that I have extended?! I hope that everyone is putting the Church first in all that they do! What about Book of Mormon reading? I have now read the Book of Mormon 3 times and am now starting to read Doctrine and Covenants. I'm in section 30 now and I have already heard the voice of the Lord more in it than the Book of Mormon! I love the scriptures and every time I read them, I get a boost of faith, hope, charity, and love for everyone! I promise you all that if you read them as well, you will feel the Spirit more abundantly in your lives! I know this to be the work of the Lord! Without a doubt in my heart! I am truly grateful to be out here serving our Father and Savior! I love you all!

Week 43 ... HOLY COW

Well, this last week was eventful!

Monday we spend most of the morning doing visa stuff for other missionaries to come out to the the Bahamas, went to Del Sol for like an hour, hung out with Brother Pierre right before his tour, meet some members on a cruise ship, then went to the church to email. Later that evening we went to buy jugs of water to prepare for the hurricane and while we were there, there were tons of people waiting for the jugs to show up. A truck pulls up with cases of bottled water so we started to help them unload the truck and stack it in the storage container so the truck could go get the big jugs faster. Once the jugs showed up, people went crazy. They lost all the little bit of patience that they had left in them. It was a mad house so again, we stepped in to help get it all organized and started to pack the jugs of water to people's cars as they paid for them. It helped the crowd calm down and it took a load of stress off the workers. We got 3 jugs of water free for helping them. It was nice to help them all out. They loved it.

Tuesday was crazy! So first thing in the morning we had district meeting. We then took the water jugs to the Seawell's house to store them. While we are there, sister Seawell tells us they they were being evacuated out of Nassau for Hurricane Irma. So we call the Assistants to tell them what's going on and they made the decision to pull us out of Nassau. So the rest of the day we spent packing up all of our clothes and all of the Books of Mormon into the lower bathroom to keep them save and every other valuable thing. We took a lot of stuff to the Seawell's house to leave it there in their house to stay in Nassau and also helped them prep their house. They fed us pizza then we said our goodbyes as we headed to the apartment for our last night in Nassau for now.

Wednesday at 3 in the morning we woke up to get ready for our flight at 7. We left the house around 4 to the Seawell's house to drop off our car and Sister Seawel took us to the airport. We got to the airport and sat in line for about an hour, maybe less, then ran to catch our flight. Our flight didn't end up leaving until 7:45... Anyways, we land in Miami and we are looking for our next gate to our next flight. We make a left turn and I look behind me as we turn the corner and I saw a big Bell. Guess what that means...  TACO BELL!!!🙌🏼 Elder call and I freaked out, bought Taco Bell, took selfies, then happily strolled away from our beloved Taco Bell. #Missionaccomplished
After those events of pure joy, we scrambled to find a place to get our tickets. We ended up waiting in another line for another hour to book a return flight to Miami from Jamaica that we will never need. Jamaica has to have evidence that we aren't staying in the country for very long... I don't know why that it but oh well. So we book it to our next flight and barely make it through the entry way before they locked up! We get on the plane and we sit down next to a Jamaican and chat Patious the whole ride! After we landed in Jamaica we went out to meet Sister Jones and her companion who I forgot the name to. They took us to the Montego Bay elders house where we were to stay the night. While we were there we cleaned their house, took a shower, took a 2 hour power nap, then talked with the other elders before we went to bed.

Thursday wasn't eventful whatsoever until we got a phone call from the Assistants telling us where we were to go while we waited to return to Nassau. Elder Christensen and Call went to Junction! I am with Elder Craig in May Pen. So that night the Browns picked us up, took us to Junction, then to May Pen.

Friday wasn't eventful either but we had weekly planning! Gotta love planning in an area that you don't fully serve in! Literally didn't plan anything but we still had the session to be obedient. Booya! Afterwards I tried making boiled dumpling but added too much water so we had to make a big thing of dumpling to save the little bit we had originally made. Then we went to see a convert that Elder Craig baptized while he servered here. It was a 45 minute walk from our house! Walking is gonna be the death of me! Had coordination at the church then had Friday night activities!

Saturday was full of walking as well. I don't know if I will survive walking in dress shoes for the last few months of my mission... I already have blisters... sad day... Anyways, we spent a lot of time looking for less active and inactive members. Gave a blessing to on of them's daughter.

Sunday was cool! I got to see the May Pen Branch for the first time and I also had to teach Gospel a Principles again! Yeah for teaching classes! Anyways, I had a really good, long talk with Sister Singleton about the Bahamas Zone and the privileges that we have in that zone. We are truly blessed! I also was able to talk to a member in Nassau and she told me that Nassau never lost power! So we could be back in Nassau faster than we thought!! Oh! I also got to see Jevon Hudson from Junction! He was in May Pen for church. He is waiting on his mission call as well!! I'm super excited for them!

If you aren't TRULY putting the Lord first on His day then please fix that! Please put Him first on His day. He does so much for us and asks so little of us in return so please show Him with your actions that you are willing to put Him first! He will bless us in so many ways! I know that He lives and loves each and everyone of us! Show your love for Him on His day by keeping it holy!!

I love you all! Pray for everyone that was hit by the hurricanes!

Week 42 There's a Hurricane coming but I ain't even scured!

Hey guys!

So on Monday Elder Greenwade and I went to do a lot of site seeing last week so we went to Bahamar, DelSol, and took Rayshawn to get blizzards! Afterwards we had a lesson with Sister Smith and gave all of them(5) blessing for school and work. It was cool to do those things for them because I remember having my dad do the same thing for us growing up!

Tuesday morning we went to breakfast with Brother Pierre and had pancakes, eggs, fruit and juice! It was the first time I have had pancakes since leaving home!#pancakesforlife After that we took our studies then to see Kenton who is awesome! We taught him the Plan of Salvation. We were supposed to see Danny but he rescheduled for Saturday. So we had a few hours to go finding. That night we had Paulette. We haven't been able to see here in forever. We met her husband and taught her the Apostasy and told her that she was gonna get her answer when she is reading on her own and not while we are there. That came back to bite us in the butt. We got a message from her saying that she wants to stop meeting with us for a while so she can read and pray and stuff without us. If she really does that she will get her answer but she has a lot of other doctrinal influence from her husband. Long story short, I'm a little nervous.

Wednesday morning was district meeting like always. A lot of our appointments fell through on that day as well so we had a lot of time to go finding. We went to Brother Williams house at 6 and he fed us some NIIIICCCEE baked chicken! We asked him to do a special fast with us for this fast Sunday so I called him on Saturday to remind him! I'm super excited for him to be active again in the branch. We also saw Noelda that night as well. We took Brother Watson with us to translate for us and they got a long very well!

Thursday morning we had service for Sister Meadows and Rayshawn. We spent the whole morning over there cleaning up their yard. They fed us breakfast and lunch! That day also fell through so we did quite a bit of contacting until we went to Sister Youte's house for dinner. We also saw Brother Jun. He is Chinese! Then right before we went home we stopped by Brother Thomas who just moved back from one of the other islands. He was a maninite growing up.

Friday we had Danny at the church and had an awesome lesson with him. He had a lot of questions about the Apostasy and stuff related to that and we were able to answer them all. He understood everything and is a very humble young man! We took lunch right after him so Greenwade could pack and do laundry and things like that. So we spent most of the day doing that. We drove to Bay Street to drop off a Book of Mormon to a referral then went to see a young man named Jay who is Jamaican. He was born in Kingston. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and helped him understand the importance of the decisions that me make in this life. That night we went to eat with Sister Charlene and Kizzy. We had a really nice dinner with them and dessert. They are awesome! Both of them hilarious. We tried to stop by Jackson and Maria but they weren't home and we couldn't wait for them because we had to get home.

Saturday we took Elder Greenwade to the airport and said good bye to him. We also got transfer calls! I will be receiving Elder Craig from Jamaica. He will arrive here in Nassau on Tuesday! Anyways, Saturday we spent most of the day at the house having our weekly planning. It was weird to plan the week out by myself but it was nice! We went and saw one of Christensen's and Call's investigators then we went to see Maria. We had some pretty good lessons with them even though we didn't plan on seeing them!

Sunday here was only 86 people at church... 6 of those were tourists. We had two investigators at church; Paulette and Demitri. I had to also teach Gospel Principles by myself because I didn't have a companion at the time! After church we went to the Cherenfant's for lunch, went to see Brother Pierre, then back to Cherenfant's to go to a church brother's house to look at his yard for service this week. After them we went to Sister Youte's house for dinner! We didn't eat it there though. We took it home and just had a lesson with her and her husband. We started a plan with them to have family prayer every day. I hope and pray that they do it!

It is very easy to not do the simple things that Heavenly Father has asked of us. It is very easy to do them as well. That being said, please please please stay strong in doing the simple things! They may be small but by small and simple means are great things brought to pass! Please read your scriptures. Please pray daily. Please go to church. I know that  if you do these things, your relationship with God and others around you! He wants to hear from you! He wants to help you! He loves you! I love you all as well! Stay strong!

Not even scared about Hurricane Irma coming our way!💪🏼🌪⛈
