Hey guys!
Monday
I celebrated my birthday so after we played basketball we went to the
market to buy food then to a store. Afterwards we went to Devon House to
buy ice cream and lunch. Afterwards we emailed and I went to buy pants,
shoes, and a tie.
Tuesday
morning we took all of our studies then had lunch. Afterwards we tried
to see a lady named Kina but she wasn't answering her phone and neither
was Kamarla. We walked up to see Deltroy but he was busy doing chores
for his grandmother so we weren't able to have a lesson with him. He is
in a tough situation in that home... We tried to see Quadre and Omari
but Quadre's dad doesn't like the Church so it was kinda hard to have a
lesson with them.
Wednesday
morning we had a meeting with our bishop and we talked about what he
wants us to do in the ward. Afterwards we had District Meeting. That
same day we found out that President Pearson will be going home on Sunday
because of his health. After lunch we went to Sister Lewis's house but
we weren't able to have a lesson because they were both in and out of
the yard. We then had a lesson with Collaine about the Plan of
Salvation. It was really good! That night we had a nice dinner with the
other Elders. Elder Jensen made pancakes and crapes for us!
Thursday
morning we were supposed to help some one with their Family History
work but the internet was down and they never showed up so...
Friday was Weekly Planning. After studies we went to a Baptism in Downtown Kingston. It was a great service
Saturday
we went to the Office to type of a letter to the Pearson's that they
wanted from all the missionaries before they left. Afterwards we tried
to have a lesson with Ginelle but she wasn't home. We then walked to
Sammoy's house. When we showed up She was kinda scared because her
husband doesn't like us coming over. So we set up a time to walk with
them to church. I hope he softens his heart towards the church...
Sunday
was President Pearson's last day. He flew out that afternoon. We also
had Stake Conference that day. Elder Alonzo was there and Victor Nugent.
I shook hands with Victor. He is the first Jamaican to join the church!
Afterwards we went to the Macpherson's to have lunch. Then we went home
to have studies.
We
got to listen to Elder Alozo speak about his mission. It was cool to
hear his mission story. I am truly grateful for my mission! I am glad I
have been able to see and help so many people change!
I love you guys!
