There is another Elder Wilding in the Mission Field folks!
I first want to let my brother Elder Jeffery Wilding know how much I love him! I could'nt have asked for a better brother than him! We've had our fights and arguments but he has always been there for me! I am proud of You Elder!
Monday we went to find Elder Hatch some new shoes but didn't end up working out. That evening we went to the Johnson's for a Family Home Evening. It was a blast! We have made food with them to show them how to make stuff other than what Jamaicans know how to cook.
Tuesday we went out to Old England to see every one out there such as Chantel, Oshane, Flow, Kenisha, Simone, and Shaniel. It was fun we watched the Restoration video and they all loved it. Still not quite sure if they fully understand the Restoration yet but soon come. After them we were supposed to go to Sister Bodley's for dinner but she moved it to Saturday. So instead of going there we went to Brother Miller's house. He gave us a bunch of referrals too.
Wednesday was Zone Conference. Elder Hatch gave his last Zone Conference Testimony. It is a custom here in the Mission that in your last transfer's Zone Conference you bare your testimony. It's crazy to think that next transfer I will be doing that!... After Conference we went home to get some studies in and then went to see Sister Thomas for a Family Home Evening. We played games with a bunch of youth in the area.
Thursday we went out to Tiana's house and walked the streets with her to talk to people that she knows. She is also wanting to go on a mission so it was good for her. She still has a couple years before she can go but good preparation. After her we went to Sister Ranger's. Later we went to Book of Mormon Club.
Friday was Weekly Planning and I am grateful for it because while we were planning it started to pour rain outside! Afterwards we had a lesson with Ava before Friday Night Activities.
Saturday morning we went to a place to eat breakfast with the sisters because it was Sister Dodd's Birthday. When we got back we had studies then went to see Malcom and asked him to pray about September 15th for his baptismal date. We then went to see Hailey and her brother. We talked about the Restoration. We then went to see Sister Thomas and Dedranel. We talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Dedranel. She is an unbaptized member. Later we met with the other Mandeville Elders and Sisters for dinner at the church that Sister Bodley made for us.
Sunday was my 22nd Month Mark and Elder Jeffery Wilding's Farewell! That's all I could think about all day! After church we went to Sister Nixon's for lunch and every one got flouor dumped on them! I went my whole mission without getting flour dumped on me! It is an old Jamaican Tradition that on your birthday you get flour dumped on you. Missionaries picked it up and ran with it... I have pictures of it but they are not on my camera they are on Sister Smith's camera. Afterwards we went to see Ahkeem and Ahkelia Pinnock. We watched two talks. One by President Monson and one by Elder Callister.
I am truly grateful for this time that I have had to serve here in Mandeville! I love the Branch and the people here! I can't wait for Jeff to get out to New Zealand and start this wonderful work! Love you all! But more importantly, I love you Elder Jeffery Wilding!
