Week 102

Hey guys!

Sorry this one will be short mainly because I forgot my planner at the church and it is locked inside... I use my planner to help with my emails.

I don't fully remember what happened but it was a good week haha! I only have one week left to proselyte then next Monday I head to Kingston for the week until I fly out on Thursday morning. I am excited to see you all! This coming week will be full of meal appointments! Yes man! Anyways, I hope everyone had a great week! Remember to Keep in touch with your Father in Heaven! He wants to talk with you just as much as you want to be alive!

Love you all!

Week 101

Hey guys!

Monday morning was Branch Coordination then we tried to see Brother Roydell again but he was busy. Don't remember what else happened that day.

Tuesday morning we were supposed to see a lady named Tashana but she didn't come to Mandeville because of the rain. So we went to Sister Thompson's work to pick up my umbrella because I left it at Sister Nixon's on Sunday. Afterwards we went to have lunch with the Sisters because it was Sister Smith's Birthday. Elder Scheese from Santa Cruz floured her with a ton of flour! I also threw on a pound of flour just for fun! It is a Jamaican culture to flour people on their birthday. We then headed out to Lancaster to see Sister Powell and CJ. When we got there she took us around back and picked us some oranges and some tangerines. She was a lot of different trees in her back yard! Avocado, banana, orange, tangerine, mango, breadfruit, and ackee. After talking with her and CJ we went to the church to have dinner that Sister Bodley prepared for us. We also practiced a couple songs for Zone Conference.

Wednesday was Zone Conference. Afterwards we had interview with President. My interview, literally, lasted about three minutes. Pres opened with a prayer, then on of the very first things that came out of his mouth was, "Elder Wilding, you time is up! The mission will miss you but it's time for you to go home!" It was all said with smiles and everything but man, I was not expecting it from Pres! Ever since then I just haven't felt the same. But so it goes I guess.

Thursday we went out to see Sister Pinnock and her daughter. While we were there her daughter wouldn't come out of her room so I was trying to get her out of her room while Elder Cluff talked with Sister Pinnock. It was fun messing around with Ahkelia; she took my umbrella through her door and was trying to poke me with it through the bottom of the door then she took $200 JMD from me as I was trying to bribe her to come out... After them we went back into town to try and have a Book of Mormon Table but it was raining... So we walked down to see if we could catch Brother Roydell at work but we actually ran into him on his way to get gas for some one. We talked with him briefly before we headed to Book of Mormon Club. No one showed up for that but there were three people at Institute so we stayed for that instead.

Friday was Weekly Planning. Afterwards we went to go see Hayley. We taught her the Law of Chastity and the Word of Wisdom. She took it a lot better than we thought! She also shared an experience with us that took us by surprise! The Gospel has changed her life so much already and she hasn't even been able to make it to church yet! We just have to get her parents into the lessons and she would be baptized! Fingers Crossed! We then headed to the church for Friday Night Activity but it was cancelled because of rain.

Saturday was a Relief Society Activity for the District. All the Missionaries that are in the Mandeville District came up and there was food, games, cool old stuff, old time games, and more food haha! That was an all day activity and we even had investigators there! It was fun to see them get to know the members outside of church!

Sunday was church. I set up an appointment for after Sister Nixon fed us but it didn't happen because of the rain. I hate when it rains here. Every one Cancels stuff because of it. ANd it is the rainy month...

But I am grateful for the time that I have been able to serve and get to know the people here in Mandeville! I am grateful for the people that have had an impact on my life! I love you all!

Week 100

Hey guys!

Monday was pretty boring. We tried to have Branch Coordination but that didn't happen, and we also tried to have a lesson with Brother Roydell but he was too busy.. So it goes some times. It was also Elder Cluff's birthday that day.

Tuesday morning we had a lesson with a lady named Tashana. We dropped of a Book of Mormon and answered some of her questions about The Church and It's history. After that we went home for studies and lunch. Later we went out to see Sister Pinnock. It had been a while since we have seen her last so we went out. She is gong through a lot recently so hopefully we helped her out. It started to pour that evening and so our last appointments cancelled on us...

Wednesday we had District Meeting. Tried to go out and see Buxton but he got called into work that day so we weren't able to see him. We stopped by Jahvin's house before we headed back to Mandeville and it, again, started pouring rain. And Again, our appointments cancelled on us...

Thursday morning we were supposed to have a lesson with a man named Moses but he wasn't feeling too well. For lunch we all went to celebrate Sister Smith's Birthday and she got floured by Elder Scheese and I. We then tried to see a lady named Marcia but due to rain we were unable to see her. We also went out to see Hayley and Sister Thomas. We taught Hayley the Gospel of Jesus Christ lesson. Sister Thomas also fed us dinner unexpectedly! It was so good! Then, again, it started to pour so we got a ride from Brother Mark down to the main road to catch a taxi back into town.

Friday was the InterFaith Meeting in the Sister's area. It was fun we taught about the Restoration. It was raining so not very many people were there but oh well. Then we came back into town and tried to have Friday NightActivity but that didn't happen due to rain.

Saturday was General Conference! So nice to hear from the Authorities! This conference there was a lot about Ministering and about the Atonement!

Sunday again was General Conference. 12 new Temples! And the historical temples are being renovated! Church is two hours next year!

I am truly grateful for the Atonement of my Savior and for His love and mercy for us all! I know that He loves us all and that He really does want us back with Him in Heaven. Keep on the Covenant Path and do what ever it takes to get back on and stay on! I love you all!

Week 99

Hey guys!

Monday was a Zone P-Day so we had a movie day. We also went up to see Sister Ranger for her birthday. We cut open some coconuts to drink and eat the meat in it. I love Jelly!

Tuesday morning we were supposed to see a lady named Tashana but she wasn't in Mandeville so we went to the church to do a lot of mapping for Elder Cluff to get used to the area. Not gonna lie, it was pretty hard finding the motivation to do anything that day. We also were supposed to drop off a Book of Mormon at a ladies house that is close by our house but she didn't make it back from May Pen in time.

Wednesday morning was District Meeting. Then we went out to see a lady named Priscalla but she wasn't home so we stopped by Sister Thomas to invite her to go with us to see an investigator's mother to see if she would let her daughter go to church with Sister Thomas. Then we headed back to town to play football with the other Elders and some investigators. After that we went home to do studies and stuff. It was also my 23rd month mark!

Thursday we were supposed to do a Book of Mormon Table in town but it poured rain all afternoon. After it finished raining we tried to have a lesson with Gregory but the guy loves to talk so we weren't able to teach anything haha oh well. Then we went to have Book of Mormon Club but no one showed up... It was a rough day...

Friday morning we had a meeting with the Sisters and the Foisey's about another Interfaith Meeting that will be happening this Friday. Afterwards we weekly Planned. That evening we went to the church for Friday Night Activities.

Saturday we went out to Lancaster to see Sister Powell, CJ, Tianna, and Kory. We had a nice conversation and found out why she hasn't been to church in a long time. Then we came into Cedar Grove to see a lady named Sabrina who wanted a Book of Mormon. We tried to gave a lesson but she wouldn't let us haha oh well. We then went up to pick up Sister Thomas to go to our investigator's place to see them. Hayley is now able to come to church with Sister Thomas and is planning on being there for General Conference! Then we had a lesson on the Plan of Salvation with Hayley. It was awesome! She is a smart girl and believes the Book of Mormon!

Sunday was church and we didn't have a single investigator there! So it goes sometimes. After Church we had a meeting with the Sisters, the Foisey's and the Senior Sisters about the Interfaith Meeting that is coming up. We then went to try and see a man named Moses. It was raining pretty hard so we weren't able to have a lesson with him but we did drop off a Book of Mormon so he was grateful for that. We then tried to find other people to see but no one was home and it was pouring rain. So we went home and had dinner and called people for next week.

I am grateful for members that are so willing to help out with missionary work! Members are definitely the best way to go for Missionary work!

I hope every one is getting ready for the cold weather to come! Because I have been trying!

I love you All!
